Best Brunch place Near Fort Greene Park–Sailor Restaurant NYC

If you want to find brunch places near Fort Greene, I would recommend Sailor without hesitation. Among the many great restaurants in Brooklyn, Sailor stands out—not just for brunch, but as a full-service restaurant offering brunch, lunch, and dinner.

The restaurant sits on a quiet street near Fort Greene Park in Brooklyn, housed in a charming red brick building accented with sailor blue. It’s one of those Fort Greene restaurants that effortlessly blends cozy charm with artistic flair. As you step inside, the first thing you see is the bar room, Although there is not much space, it looks quite cozy. To the left is the dining area, with many art paintings on the wall, which is very artistic with the red brick style of the restaurant.

What to eat at Sailor

best-french-toast

French Toast with Maple Syrup & Vanilla Cream –This is one of the best French toasts I’ve ever tried. Not like the classic French toast presentation, this one features round thick-cut slices of bread griddled to golden perfection. The surface is crisp, and the centers are filled with vanilla cream and butter. A drizzle of rich maple syrup soaks into every crevice, while a dollop of vanilla cream adds a creamy, aromatic finish. If you’re exploring top brunch places, this is a must-try dish.

omelette

Soft Omelette with Goat Gouda & Fines Herbs — the omelet is buttery soft and melts on the tongue right after a bite. The creamy tang of goat gouda pairs beautifully with the fresh, aromatic fines herbs, offering a light and naturally flavorful bite.

best-burger-nyc

Sailor Burger with Melted Onions, Cheddar & Fries — one of the standout bites among restaurants in Brooklyn. The meat was very juicy and well-seasoned, layered with sweet, slow-cooked onions and sharp cheddar melted to perfection, while fresh cut fries on the side bring a crispy, salty balance to every bite.

The service at the restaurant is warm and attentive, with staff who are friendly, and happy to offer recommendations. Despite the small space, the experience feels relaxed and unhurried. There’s a laid-back charm to the atmosphere, making it a comfortable spot for both casual meals and special nights out.
