Fort Greene has quietly grown into one of Brooklyn’s most exciting food neighborhoods, with many local restaurants gaining recognition for their standout cuisine. The Saraghina Caffè brunch is a prime example, competing with neighborhood favorites like Sailor, Café Paulette, Walter’s, and Mango Bay for some of the best brunch in Fort Greene. While known for its dinner menu, this review focuses on Saraghina Caffè brunch, exploring why it deserves a spot on your list the next time you find yourself in Fort Greene.

Saraghina Caffè Fort Greene Vibe
Located just steps from Fort Greene Park, Saraghina Caffè sits on a quiet block near several popular neighborhood restaurants, including Miss Ada. Upon arrival, guests can choose between seating inside the café or outside along the sidewalk patio. At first glance, the indoor dining room feels intimate, but its high ceilings and thoughtfully designed décor make the space feel larger and more open than expected. On a beautiful sunny day, however, it was hard to resist the outdoor seating. The plant-filled patio felt spacious, peaceful, and calm an ideal setting for a relaxed brunch. Ownership describes the atmosphere as “Milano meets Vienna in a charming Brooklyn setting,” and overall, it’s a description that feels fitting.

Saraghina Caffè Brunch Menu Highlights
The brunch menu is focused and unpretentious, emphasizing quality ingredients without compromising on portion size. I thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered, and the mocktail was especially refreshing and flavorful. The service was also a highlight of the experience as the staff was attentive and seemed to appear exactly when needed, making the meal feel relaxed and well taken care of.
Food

The ricotta pancakes were a delicious Italian inspired delight. Denser and richer than typical American pancakes the berry compote and light dusting of powdered sugar added just the right amount of sweetness to balance the richness. A standout dish that I would definitely recommend ordering.

The smoked salmon omelette was the highlight of the brunch and easily my favorite dish of the morning. Prepared in a French-Italian style soft fold, the omelette had an almost custardy texture. Rather than being stuffed inside, the smoked salmon was draped over the top and finished with a sprinkle of fresh chives. Served alongside crispy hash browns, the dish offered a satisfying contrast that worked very well.

The calamari arrived golden and lightly battered, crisp without feeling heavy. Served with a spicy aioli on the side, it added just the right kick to complement the seafood flavor. Absolutely delicious and a great dish to share with the table.

Drinks

The Gran Torino is a refreshing morning mocktail featuring bright notes of pomegranate and lemon juice, complemented by a subtle hint of mint. Light, crisp, and well-balanced, it’s an especially enjoyable drink to start the day.

While the mimosa was refreshing enough, it didn’t particularly stand and overall it was just okay, probably not something I would order again.

The Takeaway: Is Saraghina Caffè Brunch Worth It?

Must-Go rating 4.3 out 5 ⭐
The food was consistently delicious, with several dishes I’m already looking forward to coming back and trying. I was impressed with nearly everything we ordered, with the only slight miss being the mimosa. I’d definitely return to experience the Saraghina Caffè dinner service, especially to try their much talked about pizza and enjoy their Monday Music Night. Overall, Saraghina Caffè brunch is well worth it, especially when paired with exploring everything Fort Greene has to offer. Reservations can be booked via Resy.
